Weatherstripping Missing at Front Door

Weather stripping is missing at the front door - As indicated by the visible daylight around the edges of the door in the photo. Weather stripping is typically made of felt or rubber and creates a seal between the outdoors and the conditioned space. Especially in Las Vegas, where the outdoor temperatures can exceed 110 degrees, weatherstripping helps limit the amount of unconditioned air entering the home, creating a more comfortable environment for the homeowner and ensuring optimal air quality. Installing weather stripping is a simple and inexpensive task, and while this issue is not a deal breaker, it is one of the many things we look for during our home inspections.
